Freaking First Day

My new boss, on the surface look nice. But barely spoke to her over 10 sentence, by overhearing my conversation with another guy, say i sounded aggressive. Not someone who is customer oriented. She told me if i don't feel good about the job i am free to leave. I was like ................. Argh.

What does she knows. Barely half a day, that's what she told me. I was taken aback with her comment. Zooming thoughts inside my mind. As i spoke, tears welled-up in my eyes. I controlled harder than i could to prevent tears from falling. I was really sad. Really. Thou she hurt me terribly, i didnt think she was really a bad person. Perhaps just someone st.forward. I had to force my smile when i was replying her statements, or rebuttals.

The worst scenario was to leave the room, clear the mess inside my head and pretended as though nothing has happened. It was the hardest thing to do. Sigh. Feel like crying, but can't cry. That sort of feeling sucks. I felt so alone, in that office so strange. Still had to put up a strong front. I badly wanted to go to the toilet immediately after we talked. But i didnt' wanna head in the same direction as her, so i went back to my seat. Worst, i was sharing a place with another peer. I hope he didnt see through me. I smiled as happily as i could.

After work, i dragged my feet home. Together with that dampen mood.
I really feel like ditching that freaking place for all i care. But i won't, i have to prove her wrong. I will stay and prove that i'm up to the job.

R.I.P

I feel terribly sad. Truly. For the great sportsmen Singapore had lost.
They've my utmost respect, my salute to them.
The 5 missing rowers over the weekend was finally found. I wonder is it a good or bad news to be found. It seems to be time to face the ultimate cruel truth that we all tried to run away from it. Mother nature can show her fiery side at times.

Thou i do not know them in person, i could feel the heartache, the pain of lost.
I've been reading about them from the papers every single day. Catching the latest news that has links to them. It's really sad.

When i was online, i decided to pay tribute to them, and telling you, my friends, how wonderful they are. Following are links to their personal online accounts.
Jeremy Goh's Friendster
Reuben Kee's Friendster

Reuben Kee's works:
Cloud smiles
Beauty's Abomination
Shenmue Reflections for the Piano
Those who fight on the Piano

Only managed to find these. To the 5 rowers who were consumed by the river in Cambodia, Rest In Peace. My condolences.

Hunny's testimonial

T-Rex said...
She's mostly jovial, cheerful, meery, meticulous, helpful, kind, generous and the list goes on. Absolutely a fun gal to be with! A sunshine girl would be an understatement for her too. Also occasionally, she'd throw you off with her jokes. Some might consider her full of beans too, I swear her Uni clique would stand by this statement. An absolute babe! ;)~

SG -> Bangkok: Day 1

Yepp! Finally, we're leaving for the airport!!

Check out the frosting outside the plane, it must be soo cold out there..

We caught the world class performance: Siam Niramit.
5million dollars to set up the performance, 5 years to prepare. Definately something good?
I've to admit that it's the best show i've ever watched. So engaging, captivating and entertaining! It's a pity that i couldnt take pictures of the performance.

This is the layout of the ambience on the outside of the theatre.
Really kampong like.

Nevertheless, i manage to take pictures of the performers!

About 10pm. The driver came to pick us back to our hotel.
As the traffic was jammed up. We were held stationary for almost 15 mins!
The fact of life:
Children roamed among the jammed traffic, wiping windscreens of car in hope to make some money for a living. It's a sad sight.
The roads of Bangkok was dimly litted. Streets were not well tarred.
Only till then, i appreciated the good living environment i have in SG.

Bangkok - Day 2

Day 2 is like the true start of our trip with our tour group.
Official day of visiting places of interest of Bangkok.
Thailand's monarchy is sth great, sth respectable.
for many years, the empire and the royalty are passed down to the following generations without fail.
The governance of the country is not by the King but the official government.

Like Singapore, they have their elections.

This college is specially meant for only the royalties. Not for the common.

This year, the king is 80 years old already. He is celebrating his birthday on the 5th Dec. It's sorta big day for Thailanders. This year is also the 60th year of throne by the same king. Thus there are 2 great celebrations for Thailand.

Every monday, 90% of the Thais will wear yellow. This signifies the respect paid to the king. On wednesdays or so, people also wear baby pink colour. This represents good health to the king. Cool right?

90% yellow was worn on that monday morning.

First destination: Chaophraya River.
This river is the main life for Bangkok. Transportation, food, making a living, etc.. The Thai relied heavily on this river. We travelled along the river in a boat, allowing us to see the scenery, and the way of life in Bangkok.

We arrived at Wat Arun - Temple of dawn.

It's really tall man. and the relics of it are so damn well done.
The glitters and shimmers, colours and stones. They are unbelievable.
Anyway, we were given a choice to climb up to the top of this temple. Cost 50Baht per person.
I didn't wanna go up, it's damn high. The steps are so freakin steep! I've fear for heights, especially when there are no safety attchments.
In the end, i still went up. Dad la! Insisted that one person follow him up.

I'm literally shaking up there. My legs were so wobbly.

Check out the steepness.
~Goosebumps~

We visited the 4 Face Buddha before lunch.

Oh, after all those, we proceed on to the rest of our trip. Pattaya. We need to take a bus ride of about 2hours. On our way, we visited the tiger and croc zoo.

Check out the eyeliner on the horse's eye, or isit dark eye 'rings'.
Whahaha.. See the baby tiger also.. It's only few months old!

We fed the camel.

Our tour for the day ended as soon as we reached Pattaya after dinner. We went walking around, appreciating the land of night life.

Pattaya - Day 3

SUN, SEA, SAND! WeeeEEEeee!! Another day has come as daylight shone upon our hotel curtains. We're going to coral island today. Time check: 6am. That was the time we needed to get up and get ourselves ready.
Breakfast done by 7 am. Waited by the shore for speedboat. It's really cool!! One of the first few times i got on a speed boat. The speed is totally woots! The wind blowing against your cheeks...

First stop of fun: Parachuting pulled by jet ski.
Dad and mom took a picture.

This's my family.

Daddy took the first shot!

Followed by me!

Speedboating. Dad and sis were damn high.

We've reached coral island!

Ya, eat and eat.

Sis and i. You bet it was so sunny.

Going to see the corals!

After a day of craze and madness. Time for calm and quietness. It's spa time. We're going for our virgin spa.

I really have to say that i love the beach. Really. It just brings me energy and zest.
Hope to visit more islands!!

Bangkok - Day 4

Today's the highlight of the trip i guess? We're going to the amusement park of Bangkok! Dream World. It's cool i knew. On our way there, we were dropped off at some dried food warehouse to shop for food.

While the adults are busy buying and buying away, I made my sis my model. :D

Here we are, at the Dream World!
Pictures shall be here to walk you through my great day!

This's the snow house, where it's -7c inside!

Many sculptures for us to cam-whore with!

I told you daddy & mommy also very lame wan la..

These are the actors of the 'hollywood action show'.
When we took pics with them, they were like all sweaty and smelly.
Ewww!!!~

In case you don't know, the pouting boy sculpture actually represents the toilet signages!

Welcome to the fairy tale land!! Woots!

That was surely an unforgettable day of fun for all of us!

Bangkok - Day 5

Today's Day 5. The official day for us to set out on our retail therapy!
YEpp.. You bet we were damn anxious to lay our hands on the cheap and good deals.
Not much pictures to share, but here's the few..

Ying Ying collage in the morning.

We got 'clicked' away.

"Welcome to the candy shop"..
It's made of REAL candies!

Btw, did anyone told you how bad the jam is in Bangkok?
There. Bangkok's gonna become a huge carpark real soon.

Bangkok - Day 6

Last day today. We continue to shop around, but really lazy walk around.
Everyone was kinda tired from the trip already.. But we still managed to do some cam-whoring. :P

While having my breakfast at hotel.

Ying Ying.

Payphone rocks!

Grand chandelier hanging in hotel's lobby.

Me while waiting for bus to pick us up to Airport.

Mom and sis.

Last picture before we took off.

I guessed all of us enjoyed our trip in a way or another.
Regardless of the fact that it was just a short one.
The end!

Ying Ying's Prom

Well this's my sister, Ying Ying on her prom night ytd.
See her in that gorgeous black frilly dress.
Even i was stunned by the aura that was around her.
Love her to bits. We did the make-up and blow her hair ourselves.

Anyways, "I'm leaving, on a jet plane..." A short escape to Thailand.
Pls hold on till i'm back with pictures for you to savour!
In the mean time, Jia you with everything!
